The book was interesting to read, it provided a (very) different view on the topic of learning and pedagogy. However, I was hoping for more information on classic theories of learning and how they are applied in everday school life. the book might fit to other courses - and I am sure it does so - however it was not suitable for my course. Please note, that I enjoyed reading the book, it gave me some new ideas and helped me refocusing.
Thus book is highly recommended in reading. Helps link learning to own knowledge and experiences. This book also helps to reflect on own experience and approaches.
Excellent resource for all those researching pedagogy in general.
This text will support the development of understanding within the educative function of supervision which is a growing area of expertise within the profession. However it might prove a little too detailed for this and would undoubtedly appeal to anyone, who as the already defined target readership, are undertaking an MA in educational studies, as incidentally I currently am. Having said this I will recommend the book to every student I work with who may in any way have an educative role with another person, and that means every student on every course I teach.
A very comprehensive textbook, and the speed of delivery was outstadning. I would be sure to let learners know about this book but feel that it's just not the most appropriate. Having said that for any student wishing to further develop their understadning surrounding a pedagogy (or not) for education this is well worth the read!
This book supplements and reinforces our knowledge of learners and Pedagogy very well.
