"Franco, Ott, and Robles write in the opening chapter that “We are not the same leaders/authors of the 2011 edition.” Neither are we, as educators, school board members, community members, and parents, the same readers as we were in 2011. Just as they needed to write this 2nd edition, we all need to read this 2nd edition. We need to read with our ever-growing cache of experiences, insights, and lessons learned and to reflect upon how they influence our growth and expanding world views.
