Randy Schwartz, MSPH Public Health Systems Consultants, USA

Randy Schwartz, MSPH is Senior Vice President for Cancer Control at the American Cancer Society, New England Division. Prior to that, he was Director of the Division of Community and Family Health of the Maine Department of Human Services, Bureau of Health, and the Director of the Division of Health Promotion and Education. He has been responsible for overseeing a variety of health promotion, chronic disease prevention and control, maternal and child health and health services delivery programs. Prior to that position, he was Director of the Maine Diabetes Control Project, which is widely recognized for its pioneering work in third party coverage for diabetes self-management education. He has written and spoken on community interventions for health promotion, third party reimbursement and financing for health education, quality assurance for health promotion and education, and policy and advocacy approaches in health promotion. He is Past-President of several national organizations including the Association of State and Territorial Directors of Health Promotion and Public Health Education, Association of State and Teritorial Chronic Disease Program Directors and the Society for Public Health Education.
