SAGE Publishing launches Cephalalgia Reports with the International Headache Society

May 29, 2018

SAGE Publishing can announce today that it has launched an open access journal, Cephalalgia Reports, in association with the International Headache Society (IHS). Cephalalgia Reports will join its sister journal Cephalalgia, which has been published by SAGE and the IHS since 2010.

Developing on Cephalalgia’s aims, the journal focuses on headache research and management. The journal provides an international forum for research, showcasing original insights and research that contributes to, and validates, existing studies within the field. Along with studies linking directly to headache research and management, the journal will also include articles from boundary areas such as pediatrics, orofacial pain, and physiotherapy.

Arne May, Editor-in-Chief, Cephalalgia Reports, commented:

Cephalalgia Reports will provide access to high-quality, peer-reviewed content for researchers, practitioners, and the public who are scientifically and clinically interested in headache related research. Working with SAGE, I am excited to develop this journal as a new, accessible platform. The journal will provide insights into specialized areas of the field that can add to existing research as well as original analysis.”

Lars Edvinsson, President, IHS, remarked:

“Building on our publishing partnership with SAGE, the launch of Cephalalgia Reports was a logical and straightforward decision. The International Headache Society is dedicated to innovation in research and learning.  We are confident that the Cephalalgia Reports journal will help highlight the underrepresented area of headache research and eventually become an invaluable publication in the field.”

Tessa Picknett, Executive Director, STM Journals, SAGE, commented:

Cephalalgia Reports is an exciting addition to our portfolio of neurology journals. The research published will promote greater knowledge and understanding of this important and ever expanding health field. We are delighted to be expanding our partnership with the International Headache Society and building on the research base of its sister journal, Cephalalgia. We look forward to supporting the journal’s reach and to building the global readerships and impact of this important field.”
