Composing Qualitative Research
- Karen Golden-Biddle - Boston University, USA
- Karen Locke - College of William and Mary, USA
"For professionals and students in the social sciences and management, Golden-Biddle and Locke explain how to transform field work experience of qualitative research into journal articles."
The book has interesting ideas about how to write down the reports generated from qualitative research but I will not adopt this for my method course since I need to have a book that explains first the main research methods.
The book is very suitable for doctoral students and other academics. Parts of it can be potentially useful for students writing their Master thesis using qualitative research methods.
Useful reference on how to actually write up the results of qualitative research
A fantastic resource for doctoral students and academics alike. Highly informative and very readable.
Some valuable advice and examples for students considering a qualitative research project
Although aimed primarily at the process of writing for journal articles, the content is transferable to the process of writing a doctoral thesis. Chapter Two and the discussion on identifying a gap in the present literature is particularly useful.
Excellent book for advanced doc students
