Gifted Education International is a peer reviewed journal that provides support, information and guidance on all aspects of gifted education. It is essential reading for teachers, parents, lecturers in education, psychologists and social workers, administrators and anyone interested in the field of gifted education.

Gifted Education International aims to:

  • Awaken and develop awareness of the particular needs of gifted children
  • Disseminate information concerning relevant assessment procedures for the identification of gifted children with special emphasis on:
  • Under-achieving pupils
  • Pupils in multi-racial communities
  • Pupils from deprived backgrounds
  • Feature general activity in the development of curriculum extension materials providing reviews and information on the sources of such materials
  • Report on examples of good practice in schools thereby encouraging the sharing of ideas and experience
  • Reflect current national and international thinking with exchange of comment and views
  • Provide teachers and parents with guidance and information on courses and activities both for themselves and their children
  • A major emphasis is given to making provision for gifted children in schools. The approach is essentially a practical one dealing with problems relevant to teachers, parents and pupils.
