This edited text explores a wide range of SEND issues. Each chapter is written by experienced practitioners who provide the reader with an excellent list of resources at the end. I especially like the use of sections entitled 'Key Points to Remember' and 'Reflective Activity'. This is a useful resource for teachers in training and qualified teachers alike. It could form the basis of a whole school CPD day or be used in ITE and postgraduate SEND courses to promote discussion during lectures and seminars.

It is a comprehensive reference with case studies that are relevant and reflective activities that provide plenty of opportunities for discussion. The ‘key ideas explored in this chapter’ at the start are very useful too. The book covers a breadth of SEND issues written by SEN practitioners with a wealth of experience.
